Are you fearful? Angry? Confused?

For the first time in 10 years, there will be a new leader for the great nation of Kenya. Many have chosen to use their voice to bring hope and restoration throughout the country. While perfection does not exist, the hope is that we are moving forward in faith.

Some of us may be left with feelings we cannot describe, or they are so strong we may need to learn how to work through them.

Reflect on some of the questions below.

1. What are your feelings about the election? Are you hurt? Angry? Confused?

2. Take a few moments and bring those feelings before God and let Him know how you are feeling?

3. Asking Him what he thinks about your feelings, worries, and outlook?

4. Allow God to surround you with His peace. Rest in His presence.

After those steps, we will join you in this prayer.

"Father God, if the election results are what I hope for, you are the one in control. Even if the election results are not what I hope for, you are still in control. Lead me into your peace today."

We know this is an uncertain time and knowing how to feel is complex. We also know that God sits in the Kingdom of Heaven, our true home and sovereign leader.

We pray for a country that seeks to move forward in hope, humility, and, most importantly, unity.

Study Verses: "Finally, brothers, rejoice. Aim for restoration, comfort one another, agree with one another, live in peace; and the God of love and peace will be with you." - 2 Corinthians 13:11

Shalom! Peace be with you all!

Betty
